Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences

I discovered my passion for hearing care the first time I fit a patient with hearing instruments. Seeing the immediate impact, the renewed connection, the smiles, and the emotional reactions from loved ones made it clear that this was more than a profession. It was a purpose. While my formal training laid the foundation, the most meaningful lessons have come from the individuals I’ve had the privilege to serve. Each patient brings a unique story, and each experience has deepened my understanding of what improving someone’s quality of life truly means. I am grateful every day for the opportunity to do work that is both meaningful and deeply rewarding.

Kevin McAlister, H.I.S.

Hearing Instrument Specialist

With over 20 years of ministry experience, I’ve always been drawn to work that improves people’s lives and fosters genuine human connection. My journey into hearing healthcare grew naturally out of that same passion for service and care. As a teenager, I volunteered in a long-term care facility and developed fond memories of spending time with older adults—listening to their stories and helping them feel seen and valued. That experience sparked a lifelong appreciation for the aged community and a desire to make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Helping people reconnect with the world through better hearing is, to me, an extension of that calling to serve others with compassion and purpose.

Our Practice

At Granite State Hearing Center, we are committed to providing you the absolute best care for your hearing health possible. With our decades of experience and expertise, we can show you how being able to hear properly will have a positive impact in multiple facets of everyday life.

We strive for excellence and our reviews reflect this. We treat our patients like family because they entrust us with the care of a SENSE- and we only have five of them. We operate state-of-the-art technology in our pristine offices; to be the best, we must utilize the best resources available. Know that you and your loved ones are in good hands.

We have a wide array of diagnostic services to evaluate your hearing. From this assessment, we make a recommendation on how to improve your hearing, protect your hearing, manage your tinnitus and/or enhance your enjoyment of sound. From beginning to end you can count on us to make sure your individual needs are met and that ultimately the quality of your life is improved.

I came here in 2016 or 2017 because my husband told me to get my hearing checked. The gentleman working was very nice and the test was quick and painless. As it turned out, my hearing was near perfect. He said he was not authorized to make a diagnosis, but quite often when the spouse was saying to get your hearing checked and your hearing test was good, it was often due to ADHD. I kind of put that aside, and was just grateful that I didn't need hearing aides. Fast forward to early 2025 and I had not been having good results with my psych meds controlling my anxiety for a while. My prescriber separated from the practice and I was assigned to someone else. After 3 visits with her she said she thought I have ADHD. We started treating that and my anxiety went away as did my husband needing to repeat things several times before I hear him. This guy called it almost 10 years ago and I should have followed up with my psych person then, I could have been feeling better much sooner!
